Determining scholarship recipients always goes through a strict selection process due to the large number of applicants each year. The selection of scholarship recipients is based on specific criteria and requirements set by KORPRI Bukittinggi City. The criteria/requirements for awarding scholarships are based on three factors: Grade Point Average (GPA), parental income/salary, and number of dependents. In this research, the author applies Sugeno's fuzzy logic in determining scholarship allocation because Sugeno's fuzzy logic can select candidates validly, transparently, and fairly, thus guaranteeing that the selected candidates truly deserve to receive a scholarship. To conduct research effectively, the author designed a research framework that helps the scholarship allocation process using Sugeno fuzzy logic, implemented through the Visual Basic 2010 and MySQL programming languages. Research findings show that the Sugeno fuzzy method can provide accurate and objective recommendations in the scholarship recipient selection process using relevant variables and predetermined rules. This recommendation system can produce fair and transparent decisions. This research aims to contribute to the development of a more effective and efficient scholarship recipient selection system.
2023-12-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Dona Kurnia, Efmi Maiyana https://journal.uinbukittinggi.ac.id/index.php/ijokid/article/view/7192 Designing a Student Violation Point System Based on Telegram Using PHP Programming Language 2024-01-20T02:43:45+00:00 Khoirullah Khoirullah Supriadi Supriadi Supratman Zakir Liza Efriyanti
This research is motivated by an issue concerning student violations at Tugumulyo State Vocational High School which are still frequently occurring, and the recording of these student violations is manually documented in a student violation logbook, causing difficulties for the guidance and counseling teachers in managing them. Furthermore, parents face challenges in monitoring their children's discipline at school due to the insufficient delivery of information regarding student violation points. Hence, there is a need for a system capable of managing student violation data and providing information to parents regarding their children's discipline in school. This research applies the Research and Development (R&D) model. The R&D model in this research employs the ADDIE model with five stages: Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate. This product has been tested for validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The results of the product's validity test obtained a score of 0.85, categorized as valid. The practicality test resulted in a score of 0.97, categorized as a very high level of practicality, while the effectiveness test yielded a score of 0.91, categorized as a high level of effectiveness. These research findings demonstrate that the integrated student violation point system through Telegram at Tugumulyo State Vocational High School has been proven to be valid, practical, and effective.
2023-12-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Khoirullah Khoirullah https://journal.uinbukittinggi.ac.id/index.php/ijokid/article/view/7481 Data Mining Analysis to Predict Student Skills Using Naïve Bayes Method 2024-01-20T02:43:45+00:00 Yaslinda Lizar Alya Sahira Firrizqi Asriwan Guci Joko Sunadi
The possession of specific skills by students not only has a positive impact on the students themselves but also on the Study Program within a Faculty and the University as a whole. However, Study Programs sometimes face difficulties in determining the skills of numerous students even after they have completed 7 semesters of study. Therefore, a method to extract available data in order to determine student skills quickly and accurately is essential. This research aims to apply a data mining method to predict student skills in the Information Systems Study Program at UIN Imam Bonjol Padang. The study focuses solely on predicting student skills in the fields of data processing and programming. The method employed in this data mining analysis is the Naïve Bayes method. Data will be collected from student course grades related to data processing and programming. The data will be processed using an application and subsequently tested using a Confusion Matrix. The research results indicate that predicting the determination of student skills in the Information Systems Study Program at UIN Imam Bonjol can be achieved using the Naïve Bayes algorithm, which yielded a Naïve Bayes model accuracy of 93%, precision of 81%, and recall of 81%. The obtained model can be implemented in the form of an application to determine decision-making strategies for students.
2023-12-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Yaslinda Lizar https://journal.uinbukittinggi.ac.id/index.php/ijokid/article/view/6713 Design of Internship Student Management Information System with Software Development Life Cycle Approach 2024-01-20T02:43:45+00:00 Indah Naurah Fakhira Sarwo Derta Hari Antoni Musril Riri Okra
This research is motivated by the absence of an information system concerning the placement of student internships. This is attributed to the diverse backgrounds of students at the H. Agus Salim Institute of Technology and Business (ITB), comprising three different classes. For regular morning students, internship placements can be tailored to their field of study. However, for evening students (regular two) and weekend students (regular three), who are individuals already employed in government institutions and private companies, determining suitable internship locations becomes challenging. This is because the tasks performed in these institutions and companies may not align with the academic disciplines studied by the students during their academic tenure. In the design of this internship information system, the researcher adopts the Incremental model, which is one of the models in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Functional suitability testing, compatibility testing, usability testing, and validity testing were conducted on the internship management information system. The test results, carried out by one expert, yielded a functional suitability score of 94%, categorized as excellent. The capability test, also conducted by one expert, resulted in a score of 80%, categorized as very good. Usability testing, conducted by seven experts, yielded a score of 80.6%. Validity testing, carried out by three validators, resulted in a score of 0.86, categorized as highly valid.
2023-12-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Indah Naurah Fakhira, Sarwo Derta, Hari Antoni Musril, Riri Okra
